Membership
SSBA encourages you to register to be a member to enjoy the following benefits:
- discounted court hire with a 30-day booking window
- automatically affiliated with Badminton Association of Western Australia (BAWA) and thus have access to member benefits of BAWA, including sports cover insurance
- receive monthly bulletins with SSBA updates, Upcoming Events, Spotlight, Feedback & Notices
SSBA offers the following for Club affiliation:
- SSBA Affiliated Club (via nominated member) will enjoy the discounted court hire with a 90-day window for recurrent court bookings thus securing preferred day/time and court/s
- SSBA Affiliated Clubs get priority to hire the whole badminton facility with all 5 courts for your annual tournament
- Subject to consent from SSBA Board, Clubs are eligible to use the dining hall for special or festive occasions (cooking not permitted).
Individual Membership
Membership is on an annual basis from 1 April to 31 March. Membership registration is via an online platform (waarble) managed by BAWA.

- Renewal of membership is via SSBA Registration link above. BAWA ID is required to complete your registration. If you cannot remember your BAWA ID or need assistance with the registration process, please contact SSBA Registrar (Email: accounts@ssba.net.au). Please renew your membership registration by 31 March to avoid interruption to insurance cover and membership benefits.

- copy and paste this SSBA url ( https://badmintonwa.waarble.com/membership/124 ) to address bar
- on the landing webpage, fill the information required and pay your fees
- you will receive a email confirming registration
Individual membership fee (non refundable) from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
(Age reference is at 31 December 2026)
- Junior (born 2008 or later) : $46 (BAWA $40 + SSBA $6)
- Adult (born 1962 – 2007) : $60 (BAWA $52 + SSBA $8)
- Senior (born 1961 or before) : $43 (BAWA $40 + SSBA $3)
Both BAWA and SSBA fees are paid together online via the SSBA link.
If you are registered with BAWA via another Club, you only need to pay the SSBA fee. Please pay SSBA fee directly to SSBA’s bank (NAB) BSB: 086 116 & Account No. 01905 3620 (with your name as reference) and also email SSBA Registrar (email: accounts@ssba.net.au) advising your Club name and payment details.
Members must read and adhere with the SSBA Terms and Conditions (Terms & Conditions).
Club Affiliation
Clubs can be incorporated or unincorporated to be affiliated with SSBA. For affiliation purposes, a group of 6 or more players will be considered a Club. You may have guests playing up to 3 times/year after which they have to register for individual membership.
- Renewal of Club affiliation: Please fill ‘SSBA Club Affiliation Form’ from Repository and forward to SSBA Registrar (email: accounts@ssba.net.au) together with your updated list of players.
- New Club affiliation : Please fill ‘SSBA Club Affiliation Form’ from Repository and forward to SSBA Registrar (Email: accounts@ssba.net.au). You will be sent a template for your list of players.
Club affiliation fee is $20.00/year which is to be paid directly to SSBA bank with your club name as reference. SSBA bank details are in ‘SSBA Club Affiliation Form’.
Hire a storage cabinet/kitchen cupboard (optional)
Hire a Cabinet to store your shuttles and equipment and/or kitchen cupboard for keeping beverages for $20.00/year. Please download ‘SSBA Cabinet & Cupboard Hire Form’ from Repository.
